Kettosil's range of indications include anatomic impressions, opposing jaw impressions, fabricating temporary crowns, bridges and simple removable dentures. It can also be used for orthodontic impressions and for fabricating splints/fixation devices.

• High dimensional stability ensures that the orthodontic model impression can be kept for weeks and can be used again.
• Low tear resistance avoids dislodging restorations or orthodontic appliances inadvertently. Easier to remove from the mouth. Less risk of spontaneous extraction, assuming that the clinical conditions are appropriate.
• Highly thixotropic, it flows properly under pressure and will not run into the pharyngeal cavity.
• Adequate elastic recovery means that the impressions can be recast. Impressions for starightforward removable dentures can also be taken.
