Optident are delighted to offer a range of unique courses, presented by Dr Peter Galgut, designed for the Preventative Care Team to enhance and develop your skills.

Dr Peter Galgut is a well known and popular lecturer both in the UK and abroad. As a long standing practising Specialist Periodontist, Peter has a practical approach to managing periodontitis patients clinically. He was Director of the School of Dental Hygiene at UCH and subsequently a Senior Research Fellow at the Eastman Dental Hospital. Peter has extensive knowledge and experience in the formal training of Hygienists and Dentists in addition to organising numerous post-qualification courses for continuing education and CPD.

An evening presentation from 6.30pm-9.30pm designed for the whole dental team. An inspirational evening focusing on practice building and ways to increase profitability with an overview of tooth whitening.

Aims:

  • To understand current concepts in the treatment of periodontal diseases.
  • To understand different approaches to managing periodontal disease.
  • To gain skills in time management for effective use of clinical time.
  • To gain skills in effective and efficient scaling and root debridement techniques.
  • To learn how to sharpen instruments for effective root surface debridement.
